Beautiful Sunset .......

On our way to Winter Park for Dog Sledding

Hitching post for the dogs waiting to go sledding, they were so excited to be chosen from the 70+ dogs, as they jumped around barking they seemed to say, "Pick me, pick me, yippee, he picked me to go".....

Tom looks like he is ready to go golfing, even the attire...however....since there isn't 36" of snow on the ground, the dogs are still pulling golf carts for training to prepare to pull sleds...at first we thought, are you kidding, LOL, but it was a ride not for the weak at heart for sure. So much so that Tom broke his cart just a few yards down the trail and nearly threw everyone into the air....

I'm so glad that Andy is the driver, this was such a fun ride, Tomo was sandwiched in, good thing, because there was a few opportunities that we could have lost him on some turns....

And we are off, the dogs were so ready to run and pull....looks like plenty of snow for sledding to me....beautiful country side...."Over the river and through the woods....la la la la la la...."

The Continental Divide is to our left, absolutely beautiful country ......

A team of 8 to pull us for a 45+min ride...when the dogs would stop for a bite of snow and and roll in the snow....Tomo would tell them "Hey, hey, hey" translated to "Go, go, go faster"....

Our lead dog Rianna, she did an excellent job keeping the pack in line....she is an Siberian Husky, her partner is Alaskan Husky like most of the other dogs in the pack....

Bethany and Juda ready to take off, and they sure did, Tom was driving their cart that had a reputation of having a sticky brake and once they took off and began the first turn, Tom applied the brakes as told, they froze up and froze the steering and they hit a fence post, then another fence post almost launching them into the air. The dogs came to a stop and so did the cart. They couldn't continue on their trail ride. After unhitching the dogs, getting back to the starting point, waited on Andy and I to return, then they hitched their dogs to our cart and went on their ride with Andy driving, Tom said he had done enough damage already.....LOL, what an experience.....

Here is Team B getting unhitched after their ride on Team A's cart....Andy loved it, thought at first it was a silly idea, but has now done some research on the whole idea of sledding dogs, training them in the off season with golf carts, LOL, and has decided this is certainly a way to make a living here in the winter and keep a person skiing when not mushing dogs.

Possibly a future dog owner/musher....

This is Allie with her new pups....

Future lead dog....they think his daddy was 150 lb dog, look at how broad those shoulders already are.....

Red Fox crossing the street in Winter Park, the other spotting of one was in Breckenridge, do you suppose it is the same one????? Probably not, as we were told there are many roaming the streets.....

Bethany beside the longest icicle ever......that we have seen anyway...it was frozen around a wire...

Tomo trying out Andy's head lamp....future miner....

Tomo was mining behind the sofa and got stuck.....maybe he should try another profession....his belly might stick out too far....

We are trying to all head the same direction, not backwards.....

Mom and Bessy going for run # 6....

Bessy did so well holding onto my polls, thank goodness skiing is like riding a bike, it comes back to you even if it has been some 10+ years ago....

Okay...so I'm not the best instructor, especially when it comes to helping your student back up....

Got her up again and no harm done....

Andy and Dad enjoying a moment alone, just a moment....is all they got....

Tom and our one eyed snow ninja....

Ben and Juda coming down hill sledding so fast that Juda lost his hat....

We enjoyed Bubba Gumps in Breckenridge, what a treat.....

Waiting to fill our belly's full of Bubba Gump Seafood....

Enjoying some fun drinks in some COOL glasses....

Nothing but the Cool light up glasses for these kiddos....
