Our dear friend Julie is in the arms of Jesus
Below is the post I woke up to this morning. Please be in prayer for Julie's family as they begin to have closure and healing themselves in this chapter of their lives. We praise God that Julie is completely and utterly healed for eternity, what a day of rejoicing she is having.....http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/juliemorrison Here is her CB blog if you would like to view it and read her entire journey. What a journey it was for an amazing woman.....and her family.
I am posting this this morning letting you know Julie's battle with cancer is over. I will keep this post short but I wanted to make sure our family and friends received word.
Julie slept very peaceful throughout the night and at 7:40 am this morning Julie took her last breath and went to be with the Lord. As hard as this is now, I know the storm has not come.
I will post the memorial service information as soon as it is confirmed. The memorial service will be in Bastrop, Louisiana.
My last request for those of you who knew and loved Julie so much is if possible, could you post one last time in her guestbook. Please direct your post to Julie's boys (Nick and Sam). Share a personal story about Julie because it will be something the boys will cherish.
Julie loved so many people and I am so thankful that I was one of the ones she loved the most. Please continue to pray for me, the boys, and Julie's parents and sister. She loved each of you so very much and was always full of life.
I will miss her!
Depending on Christ as I pick up the pieces,
Britt

Praise God for what He has given the Morrison's and we are asking for peace and comfort
This is a post from our friends the Morrison's from their Caring Bridge Site....read carefully, pray accordingly, praise God for whom ALL blessings flow, Britt's perspecfitve of the last 24 1/2 years is on the money!!!!!
....Well, we went to the doctor today and it was not what we wanted to hear. I will just tell you what they told us. The CT scan showed that the cancer is drastically worse than it was a month ago. It is in her kidney, liver, both lungs and chest. The doctor said that he is stopping chemo because Julie is too weak and the cancer is too aggressive. He said that he would have to admit Julie to give her chemo and that if he did, she never come out of the hospital.
He said if we wanted a second opinion he'd do what he could to help us. But, he said that no matter where she goes, the diagnosis is the same. He did say that he has seen miracles and he knows God is capable, but medically speaking we should switch from treatment to quality of life. If we pursue a second opinion, we feel that would take away valuable time from the boys, family and friends.
Next, he recommended hospice. We should have a visit from them in the next few minutes to explore our options.
He told us we needed to consider what we want for a living will.
Lastly, he said he did not like to give time frames because to often you are wrong. But, he wanted us to know what his experience was telling him. Based on how aggressive the cancer is spreading, he said she has days to a couple weeks.
Again, Julie and I both know God is bigger than any doctor. However, we must keep our eyes focused on him. I will try to keep you posted over the next few days and would love to share a miracle with you. But, the best gift of all is the past 24 1/2 years being Julie's husband. She is the love of my life, my best friend, the mother of our boys.
Please continue to pray.

Asian Pacific Heritage Month
Bethany's class danced and sang for "Asian Pacific" month recently and here she is with her debut performance, Ms. Hula Queen. She was so VERY serious and did such a good job. Her friend Cameran was quite nervous and kept dancing forward making it hard for me to film Bethany as I was on the second row behind other mom's filming and had Tomo in my lap, so considering all that, I'm glad to get her on tape........She sure does look like an island girl.......
